I just love making things! I can’t resist a haberdashers shop, and get excited by colours and texture.
I’ve made so many things, that after giving them away as Christmas, Birthday and other special occasion presents, I still had more items than I knew what to do with, so I decided to try selling at a few craft fairs. Although my first love is making, I quickly learned that meeting people who were interested in what I have made, some of whom have become real fans, was just wonderful. So I now look to meet you at craft markets locally to enthuse with you and hopefully sell enough items to keep me in funds for materials to make lots more items!
I volunteer part time at the Worcester Resource Exchange (WRE) where I’m inspired by the off cuts and fabric samples that arrive there, and by my co-volunteers and staff at this wonderful arts and crafts re-use and re-cycling centre. I love to use the fabric samples and off cuts to make items from lovely fabrics that might otherwise have been thrown into landfill.
I also run my own business helping charities and social enterprises.
